A London staycation at Shangri-la Hotel at the Shard was exactly what the doctored ordered! I am sure you have seen my previous posts views from the Shard, this time, we chose to have a treat and stay at the Shangri-la with great views over London. Rooms at The Shard’s Shangri-la hotel come with some of London’s most famous landmarks.
Our Deluxe City View Room came with views of Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, St Pauls Cathedral, City of London, Tower of London and many other cities treats that lie at the bottom of London’s tallest building that is the Shard.
A stay at Shangri-la means that you are close to so many tourists sights which are right at your doorstep. Some of these include:
- Borough Market
- Tate Modern
- Sky Garden
- East London’s Shoreditch
- Tower Bridge
- St Pauls Cathedral
- Tower of London
- St Katherine’s Docks
Rooms at the Shangri-la range from the deluxe room with city views to suites that also come with butler services. From at from around £400 per night and suits start from £1500 to £8,500.
I love that each of the rooms has a touch of luxury, from the marble-clad bathrooms where you can have chilled out bubble baths while you relax to the city views and sounds mellowed out by music from the in bathroom entertainment.
Hotel breakfast at the Shard is served in TING restaurant which also comes with stunning views of London. To book a stay at Shangri-la Hotel at the Shard click here.

Forget the London Hustle And Bustle
Our London staycation was meant for a relaxing weekend of unwinding and plenty of opportunities for wine and dining which makes Shangri-la Hotel at the Shard the perfect spot for relaxation. There are about 4 restaurants at the Shard to chose from but what I enjoyed most of the hotel’s offerings is the ‘Find Your Shangri-La’ experience.
These are carefully curated experiences drawing on the talents of fitness experts, mindfulness gurus, and professional nutritionists to help hotel guests achieve a more balanced lifestyle.
You can have a masseuse come to your room and not only that unwind in the beautiful infinity sky pool on the 52nd floor of the hotel, which also comes complete with city views of London’s famous landmarks.
