In the last few years with the ever-changing skyline in London, we have managed to see an increased number of amazing viewpoints in London. Some are free and others are paid.
From Shard views, Sky Garden to The Look Out and 22 Bishopsgate, two new viewpoints to the stunning views offered from London’s restaurants with a view. And recently the cool and fabulously free views from the Garden At 120 Fenchurch Street or just Garden at 120 for short.
The viewpoint at 120 Fenchurch Street has very much become a popular attraction in London. It offers stunning views of the city from the rooftop of the building.
What Is And Where Is The Garden At 120
The viewpoint is located on the 15th floor of the 120 Fenchurch Street, and it is accessible to the public for free! Each time I have family visiting, its a chance to play tourist in the city so when my sister was visiting from the USA, it was time for another round of tourist sights in London.
On this day we started off at Duck and Waffle for breakfast then hit up Eatly for a little italy shopping spree before checking out Leadenhall Market and then Garden at 120, before finishing at St Dunstan in The East Church Gardens.
You acces the views at 120 via a lift located in the lobby. Not that food is not allowed in the garden so we had to leave our shopping with security in the lobby.
From this viewpoint, you can enjoy panoramic views of the city, with landmarks such as the Tower Bridge, the Shard, and the Gherkin all visible on the horizon.
The viewpoint is also a popular spot for photography, painters and sketch artists as it offers a unique perspective on the city that can’t be found anywhere else.
In addition to the stunning views, the viewpoint at 120 Fenchurch Street also offers a range of amenities and facilities to make your visit more enjoyable.
There is a 14 Hills located, a restaurant on the 14 floor, said to be one of the largest restaurants in the City with unique skyline views.
One of the things I love about the Garden at 120 is that no booking is required. You simply turn up and enjoy the views! So if you are after Free London views then this place is perfect! The stunning views and amenities make it the perfect spot to relax and take in the sights of the city. So next time you’re in London, be sure to stop by and see what all the fuss is about.
Best Time To Visit Garden At 120
I highly recommend visiting during the weekdays when most people are working in the offices nearby. Avoid visiting during lunch periods as everyone and their granma is out here.
Particuarly when the weather is great, lunch times and just after 5pm its really popular for sunsets. The best times to visit are from 9am – 11.30am and from 2pm to 5pm.
Outside of these times, not that it will not only be busy, but you also run the risk of either waiting or not being allowed in because its too busy.
