Then when are talking about council run parks the largest biggest park in London is Victoria Park at 213 acres with Battersea Park a close second at 205 acres.

When we start adding in commons, the answer to this question gets complicated as spaces like Wimbledon common come in at 1,136 acres or Thames Chase , a community forest which is shared among several areas in London comes in a 24,320 acres.

Richmond Park

Within a stone-throwing distance from central London, Richmond Park is a nesting place for various wildflower flowers, birds, and deer herds.

In addition, Richmond Park beckons visitors with opportunities for golf playing, bike riding, and off-road cycling through Tamsin Trail. The park surrounds a 2,500 acres area. This place is beautiful during Autumn. Nearest Station: Richmond

Around 200 acres of land to explore or just chill. Formerly known as Battersea fields, a famous spot for dueling, this park currently includes a boating lake, children’s zoo, football fields, running track, and more.

Victoria Park 

People’s favorite name, ‘Vicky Park,’ is the widest park (213.0 acres) in Tower Hamlets and one of the most visited parks in London. Greenwich Park

Greenwich Park, previous hunting grounds of London, stands today as one of the royal and the largest parks (180 acres) in south-east London. Among the famous parks in London as this is where the meridian line is located at the Greenwich Royal Observatory.

The park is also acclaimed as a world heritage site, the views of the Isle of Dogs, River Thames, and London are indeed exhilarating from here.

Holland Park

If you are looking for cool parks in central london then this is one not to miss. Including public parks and streets, Holland Park dwells within the western rim of London, covering around 54 acres.

St. Jame’s Park

This royal park is the property of Central London’s Westminster City. Located on the south tip of the St. James’s area, this park is surrounded by the Mall, Horse Guards, Birdcage House, Birdcage Walk, and Buckingham Palace.

A visit to Regents Park is ideal for spending time playing sports and various other activities. The park comprises a zoo, a boating lake, and a zoo perfect if you are looking for a London park for kids activities .

At Wimbledon, within the London Borough of Merton, the Cannizaro Park is situated. This park is about gardens of azaleas, rhododendrons, and camellias, comprising around 35 acres.

Burgess Park includes 140 acres and is situated in Camberwell, near Walworth. Although formerly used for industry, housing, and infrastructure, this 140-acre park in London is formed within a highly urbanized city area.
